Working principle:
The device of the ceramic high-temperature filter is similar to the device and principle of operation of the bag filter. The dusty gas stream entering the device for purification passes through the filtering elements, on the surface of which a dust residue is formed, periodically regenerated by the pulse regeneration system.

In ceramic pulse filter - ceramics of two types are used as filtering elements:

  • granular ceramic filter elements based on silicon carbide or aluminum oxide
  • fibrous ceramic filter elements based on silica fibers.

Regeneration of ceramic filter elements is carried out by means of a pulse regeneration system using compressed air or other inert gas. Regeneration is carried out automatically as the pressure drop in the filter unit increases.

The pulse regeneration system consists of a receiver with purge flow cleaning and drying unit, solenoid valves, purge pipes with nozzles, and a control system.

At typical specific gas load of 100 m3/m2*hour and temperature of purified gases 350-5000C the aerodynamic resistance of ceramic pulse filter is 2000-2500 Pa.

When the solenoid valve is opened, a flow with pressure of 5-6 bar enters the purge pipe, coming out through a nozzle with a diameter of 7 mm it is directed to the open flange of the ceramic filter element creating a flow velocity of 100 - 120 m/s and a pressure of about 12000 Pa. Such pressure is enough to clean the pores of the ceramic filter element and destroy the filter cake on the outer side. Further particles settle down in the hopper - collector.

The filters can be assembled in modules of the required capacity.
The filters are equipped with ceramic filter elements with diameters from 60 to 150 mm and lengths from 1000 mm to 6000 mm.

Applications:
  • Gas purification systems of precious metal smelting furnaces,
  • wet catalysis plants,
  • solid fuel boilers,
  • incinerators,
  • glass and basalt furnaces,
  • catalyst regeneration plants.
  • Incineration furnaces for hazardous and radioactive waste, municipal solid and liquid waste, etc.

Advantages:
  1. Achievement of current and future air emission standards
  2. Possibility to apply deep heat utilization of hot cleaned gases
  3. 3-6 times reduction of flue gas volume after its purification and heat utilization
  4. Reduction of capital and operating costs for purification
  5. Smaller area occupied by the filter
  6. Reduced aerodynamic drag
  7. Less maintenance
  8. Lower overall operating costs: energy savings
Gas purification efficiency:
Comprehensive cleaning of gases from particulate matter and harmful gas components. Residual concentration of particulate matter - less than 2 mg/m3

Comprehensive system of gas purification from CO, NOx, SOx, HCL, HF, VOC, dioxins is achieved through the application of:
  • catalytic activation of ceramic filters;
  • sorbents feeding system into the gas stream upstream of the filter.
